Busch Gardens is now offering free admission to Virginia kids who are 5 and under (up from 2 and under previously) between May 20 and Sept. 6. Go here to find out how to register your child.

FREE kids events and Easter Bunny picture

Bass Pro Shops will be hosting a variety of free Easter activities for kids during the next two weeks.

Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28: Make your own sun catchers (starting at noon and while supplies last), Easter egg hunt for kids ages 8 and under (2 p.m. to 3 p.m.), 4x6 photo with the Easter bunny (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

Monday through Friday, March 29 through April 2: photo 4x6 photo with the Easter bunny (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.).

Thursday, April 1: Make your own Easter decorations (starting at 6 p.m. and while supplies last).

Saturday and Sunday, April 3 and 4: Easter egg hunt for kids ages 8 and under (2 p.m. to 3 p.m.), make your own Easter decorations (starting at noon and while supplies last), 4x6 photo with the Easter bunny (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

On Saturday, Feb. 27 Target stores across the country are celebrating Read Across America day (which coincides with Dr. Seuss' birthday) with a Story Fun Time event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The free event will include a reading of Dr. Seuss' "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" Dr. Seuss-inspired activities and give aways.

Looking for another activity for the kids?? Every Saturday at 10 a.m. Lowe's offers its Build and Grow program. You can find out more about it here. Another great freebie from Facebook

It seems lots of companies these days are offering rebates and free coupons as a way to quickly build up a fan base on Facebook. So far I've snagged free dip, free cookies, free hot sauce and now, free stain remover.

While my usual philosophy is that something is only a good deal if it's something you would buy anyway, all bets are off when it comes to free. But as a mom to seven kids and three dogs, can most certainly find a way to us some free stain remover (regular price: about $5).

I'm not sure how they plan to deliver the rebate, or what you'll need to have to claim it, so I'd wait until you get it to make the purchase. But once you have the form in hand, this stuff is available widely at Target and Walmart.
