$2 coupon on Brita filters

Get your coupon for $2 off a Brita water filter here. I use mine a lot. It's cheaper than buying bottled water all the time. And in the spring and summer we go through a lot of water -- drinking it straight and making lemonade and iced tea!

$1 coupon for sunscreen

We go through this stuff like water all summer. And coupons are rare. So when I saw that Coppertone has a coupon for $1 off any of its products available on its web site here, I had to share! Click on the box on the lower right of the home page, and you will be directed right to a site where the coupon prints. Be sure that your printer is on, and the ink and paper are full.

FREE photo gifts from ArtsCow

The folks at ArtsCow have loaded seven items, including these customizable photo playing cards, into their freebie "treasure chest." Other available items include customizable multi-purpose cards, business card holder, cufflinks (oval and square), keychain measuring tape and flip-top lighter (valued at $6.99 to $10.99). Use photos of your family or a favorite vacation spot to make unique gifts for family and friends. With Mother's Day and Father's Day coming up, it's great timing.

You can see the whole selection of free items here.

After designing your order, enter the coupon code CHESTGIFTS under credits & discounts. You have until April 20 to enter the coupon code to validate it, but up to 30 days to use it.

You will still have to pay shipping, but what a deal.

FREE office/school/craft supplies

I hesitated to post this one, because while it's a freebie, there is a catch. But I figure I'll let you guys know about it and you can decide if it's worth it or not.

Office Depot if offering 100 percent off nine items (see the list online here):
Bottled water
Photo paper
Post-it notes
Batteries
Writing utensils
Paperclips
Storage boxes
Labels
Legal pads

Now, you can only "purchase" two of each item per day, and the offer is good until April 24. You do need to become a member of their Worklife Reward Club, which you can do for free here.

The catch is, you have to pay for these items upfront, and then Office Depot will load onto your reward club membership a credit for the value, which you can use later on other purchases. So while this is a "free" deal, it's only going to work for you if there are other things you need to purchase at Office Depot.

FREE Kraft mac & cheese

Here's another perk for Facebook fans -- free cheesy explosion mac & cheese from the folks at Kraft.

Fans will get a coupon here for a free box or cup of their new cheddar explosion, cheese explosion or grilled cheese explosion.

While I do prefer homemade mac and cheese, I always have a few boxes of this stuff around for quick lunches or (in a pinch when the grownups are going out) a dinner treat. If I'm serving it for dinner, I often bulk it up by adding cut up hot dogs (four per box, microwaved), lil'l smokies, chopped ham or browned ground beef (half pound per box).

Coupon -- 25% off World Market

Here's one I haven't seen before -- a coupon for 25 percent off most purchases at Cost Plus World Market available online here. Alcohol, gift cards and certain other products are not included in the offer. You can use the coupon in the store, or use the code FFACE410 if shopping online.

Want to start your shopping online now? Go here. Looking for the store closest to you? Go here.

Check out group buying power.

If you haven't already signed up, check out the folks at Groupon to see if they have a group for a city near you. It seems they are branching out of the big cities and, in fact, recently added Hampton Roads to their list (you can join the Hampton Roads Groupon Facebook page here).

Groupon (think GROUP cOUPON) works on the principle of group buying. Each day there is a new deal. But you can only get the deal if enough people sign up for it.

You can find out more, and check and see if it's available at a city near you, here.
