FREE music sampler from iTunes -- Thanks again FB!

Facebook members can again get free music from iTunes by becoming fans here.

About once a month iTunes offers a free sampler album of tunes. The current offering, indie Spotlight, is available until June 15. And if you haven't downloaded it already, you can still get the Songs from the House of Soul through april 30.

Fans can also download a free single song here every week. This week's offering: Outfit by Archie Bronson.

When I find free music, I tend to download it. It's a great way to build up your library, and a fun way to try out some new artists and styles. And what's there to lose? If you don't like anything you download, it doesn't take much to delete it.

Another Facebook FREEBIE!

If you didn't already know, I am a huge fan of Facebook. It is, after all, what reconnected me with my first and last love.

I really love it when I find a freebie offered to Facebook fans.

Redbox is currently offering a one-night free rental code (valid only on March 17) to fans on Facebook. The code is unique, so you can't share it. Go here to become a fan, and then click on the tab titled "Fan Freebie."

I'm thinking I may use mine for a date night for my fiance and I.

Another great freebie from Facebook

It seems lots of companies these days are offering rebates and free coupons as a way to quickly build up a fan base on Facebook. So far I've snagged free dip, free cookies, free hot sauce and now, free stain remover.

While my usual philosophy is that something is only a good deal if it's something you would buy anyway, all bets are off when it comes to free. But as a mom to seven kids and three dogs, can most certainly find a way to us some free stain remover (regular price: about $5).

Go here to become a fan.

I'm not sure how they plan to deliver the rebate, or what you'll need to have to claim it, so I'd wait until you get it to make the purchase. But once you have the form in hand, this stuff is available widely at Target and Walmart.

Thanks goes out to Heather at Freebies 4 Mom on this one.

Go Saints?? Go Colts??

For those of you who don't already have a favorite team for Sunday's game, here's a win-win for you....

Become a fan of Louisiana Hot Sauce on Facebook here and you can sign up for a free bottle of hot sauce if the Saints win.

Then go on over to Crofter's Organic Facebook page here and become a fan. There you can predict who will win (simply post it on their wall before the start of the game), and if your prediction comes true they will send you a free jar of Superfruit (U.S. and Canada residents only). If you pick the Colts, you'll be a winner either way.

Free eggs!

What a way to start the morning -- and this blog -- Free Friday eggs!

Become a fan of Incredible Edible Egg on Facebook here. There they'll have Buy-One-Get-One-Free (aka B1G1 or BOBO) coupons for eggs available starting at 10 a.m. EST. It'll save you up to $1.50.

But you better act quick: there are only 30,000 coupons to go around. And with so many people these days being cheap, they're gonna go fast!

If you are lucky enough to snag one of these coupons, and are looking for a way to use your 24 eggs, here's one of my favorites -- a twist on deviled eggs.

6 eggs
Extra virgin olive oil
Kosher salt
Hard boil eggs by placing in a pot of cold water and put pot on stove on high (see Note). Bring to a boil and reduce heat slightly so it doesn't boil over. Boil for 22 minutes. Meanwhile, fill a bowl with ice water. Use a slotted spoon to remove eggs from pot and place in ice bath (this will keep the eggs from forming a greenish ring between the yoke and the white). Let sit until cool enough to handle. One by one, crack shells and remove from egg and return egg to ice bath to finish cooling. Once cool through, slice eggs in half and remove yoke. Mash with enough olive oil to form a paste, adding 1 T at a time. Salt to taste. Stuff yoke filling back into whites.

NOTE: Don't try to hard boil fresh eggs. You won't be able to peel them because the bond between the white and the shell is too fresh. Wait until you've had the eggs in your 'fridge for about a week.
